Rajesh Bhagirat

Filmmaker

My name is Rajesh Bhagirat.  I was born and raised in the District of Columbia.  Growing up I always had a love for comic books, which enhanced my imagination visually.  The stories that I read, I envisioned in 3D and that sparked my interest to pursue film.

I attended UNC Greensboro where I received with honors, my bachelor’s degree in Film & Television Production.  I then traveled between DC and NC working freelance on corporate work and assisted on reality shows like A&E’s Intervention or History Channel’s Decoded.

After two years of freelance on the east coast, I made the move to Chicago, where I found Fig Media.   At Fig Media I was given the opportunity to work with cameras, which is my main passion in the industry.  While on camera, I have done work on short documentaries, weddings, and independent films, and continuously receive projects till this day.   Ultimately, I hope to become a Director of Photography on a blockbuster film and continue to work with cameras.
